Aircraft and aerospace coatings

Automotive and vehicle refinishes
These coatings are applied to cars, vans, lorries and trailers, the difference is that the two terms in automotive coatings are applied during the manufacture of the vehicle and the vehicle refinish coatings are applied in body shops during accident repairs. Automotive coatings are ‘factory’ applied but the vehicle refinish will be applied in a range of environments.

The coatings cover topsides, above the water and antifouling coatings which are applied to minimise marine fouling and reduce water damage. They’re all anti fouling and will reduce ships’ drag through water. The coatings cover those used by professional applicators and also those used by amateurs in marinas and boatyards.

These can also be known as protective coatings and are applied to structural steelwork like bridges, oil and gas rigs, structures like stadiums and warehouses and also chemical plants. These coatings are designed to have both high corrosion resistance and also good cosmetic appearance. Wood finishes
This term used covers those coatings including industrial wood coatings, these are coatings applied in factories to wood for a number of uses, this includes furniture, kitchen and bathroom fittings, to industrial joinery. These are different to ‘wood care’ coatings which are DIY coatings like wood varnishes and coatings for fences and decking.
